The Stamp-a-ma-jig is a wonderful tool used to
help you place your stamped image exactly where you want it. With this ability
you can do shadow stamping, two-step stamping, align your letters just right,
or develop a scene with each image place precisely where it belongs. It's
very easy to use and clean and well priced; a very worthwhile investment.

Step 1: |
|
|
|
| |
Often you will stamp your first image, without
the help of the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Stamp that image first, then you will use
the Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the next image with respect to the first image. |

Step 2: |
|
|
|
| |
| The stamp-a-ma-jig consists of two pieces:
a clear plastic sheet and the "handle". The plastic sheet
is smooth on one side and textured on the other. Some types of ink
work better on this side. The handle has a square corner on the left
and right sides, so it can be used even by lefties. Place the plastic
sheet squarely in the right corner if you're right handed,
left corner if you're left handed. Look at the image on the right
closely; it's kind of hard to see the clear plastic sheet. |

Step 3: |
|
|
|
| |
Ink your stamp with a dark ink. It doesn't have
to be the ink you are going to stamp on your piece with, this is used to
place your image so you want it to be dark enough to see it. Place your
stamp squarely in the corner of the handle, stamping on the plastic sheet.
Take the handle away. |

Step 4: |
|
|
|
| |
Place the plastic sheet on your work, aligning
it exactly where you want this image. You can see through the plastic so
you can easily see where you image is going to go. |

Step 5: |
|
|
|
| |
Holding the plastic sheet firmly in place, place
the handle against the plastic sheet again, so the corner of the plastic
sheet fits squarely in the corner of the handle. When fitting these together,
be sure to move the handle, not the plastic sheet. |

Step 6: |
|
|
|
| |
Remove the plastic sheet. Hold the handle carefully
in place. |

Step 9: |
|

Now clean the plastic sheet with a damp papertowel
or baby wipe. For those images that don't want to come off, try alcohol,
stamp cleaner or hair spray. |
