Rebinding a Coil Bound Book

My books come bound, but with one end uncrimped so you can unbind them for stamping. Just unwind the coil binding to stamp. When you are done stamping and want to put the book back together just follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Stack all of your pages back together. Tap lightly on a table top to get the holes to line up. If the holes don't line up quite right try flipping one or both covers over.

Step 2:

Wind the uncrimped end of the coil back through the holes.

Step 3:

Cut off extra coil with wire cutters. You approximately one turn of the coil past where it comes out of the last hole.

Step 4:

Using needle-nose plyers, crimp the end back so the coil cannot come out of the book.


Crimp the end of the coil.
